Acceptance
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Faulty("we", "us", or "Faulty") governing your use of the website at faulty.tvand any related services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
The Service
Faulty is a studio for creating AI-generated shortform videos. You write a topic or script, pick a cast of characters, and the Service produces an audio + video reel you can download or share.
We're continually evolving the Service. We may add, remove, or change features at any time, and we may discontinue the Service in whole or in part with reasonable notice.
Your Account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including any content created with your tokens. Keep your password safe, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use the Service. If you're using Faulty on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Faulty to:
- Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates someone else's rights.
- Impersonate real people in a way intended to deceive or harm.
- Produce sexual content involving minors, or other content prohibited by law.
- Generate targeted harassment, hate speech, or threats.
- Spread disinformation that's likely to cause real-world harm.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, abuse our infrastructure, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Resell access to the Service or scrape it at scale.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice, and we may remove offending content.
Your Content & Outputs
You own the videos you generate. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you can use the rendered output for any lawful purpose, commercial or otherwise. Faulty claims no ownership of your generated videos.
You grant Faulty a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. We do not use your private content to train third-party AI models, and we do not share it publicly without your consent.
You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you upload (e.g. background videos, audio, images).
Subscriptions, Top-Ups & Tokens
Some features require a paid subscription or token top-up. Pricing is published at faulty.tv/pricing. Tokens represent prepaid usage credits — one token equals one character of generated dialogue.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current period.
- Top-up tokens are one-time purchases. They roll over and do not expire.
- Taxes may apply on top of listed prices.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes don't affect the current billing period you've already paid for.
Refunds
Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. In short: subscriptions are eligible for a prorated refund within the first 7 days; top-up tokens are non-refundable once issued to your account.
About AI-Generated Output
The Service relies on machine learning models that can be wrong, biased, or unpredictable. Outputs may contain factual errors, offensive material, or unintentional similarities to existing works. You are responsible for reviewing every output before publishing it.
Don't rely on Faulty outputs as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.), and don't present them as such.
Termination
You can stop using Faulty and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if you haven't paid for the Service. Where reasonable we'll give you notice and an opportunity to fix the issue.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (see our Privacy Policy).
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific output will meet your expectations.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Faulty will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Faulty harmless from any third-party claim arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after the update means you accept the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Faulty's place of business, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
